Early Transformers was born from the vision of a 15-year-old dreamer, Otshepeng Tshupo. Initially, he envisioned a gospel music club called “Mochudi Gospel Avenue, ”driven by his passion for music and a desire to bring people together. However, Otshepeng’s dream evolved as he began to notice the pressing social challenges in his community—issues like gender-based violence, teenage pregnancy, and substance abuse. He realized he could do more than just inspire through music; he could create a platform to address these problems and up lift the lives of young people.
In 2015, Otshepeng joined the “CEOs of Tomorrow” program, which introduced him to the concept of social entrepreneurship. This experience transformed his outlook and motivated him to reimagine his gospel music club into a broader initiative. By combining the performing arts with advocacy and education, he sought to address social ills and empower young people to discover their talents and potential. This reimagined vision led to the formal registration of Early Transformers in January 2022.
Even before its official launch in February 2022, Early Transformers had already made an impact, hostinga Gender-Based Violence Awareness Campaign and collaborating with organizations like Stepping Stones International. Today, Early Transformers continues to transform lives, using creativity and empowerment to tackle social challenges and inspire young people to rise above their circumstances.
